Who inspires me?

If I had to pick one person, that I can say I hope that's me someday, it would be my mom. She's always there for me when I need her and can count on her to be and she always has the right things to say. I can talk to her about anyting and can always count on her advice. I get along so easily with my mom because I can trust her with all my secrets or problems and then I don't have to hide anything from her. I hope someday when I have kids they can confide in me the way I do in my mom.

Erik Weihenmayer

Erik Weihenmayer is huge inspiration! Most people can't even climb Mt. Everest with the use of eyes, and he managed to do it while being blind. If that doesn't inspire you then I don't know what does. Because Erik sumited he has erased limitations that we think blind people are unable to meet. He has not only given the blind more goals and self confidence, but he has also given the people with sight more credit for the blind and made us realize that the boundries between those with sight and those without it may not even exist. Erik Weihenmayer made people with sight see clearly about those that are blind!

Mt. Everest

This collage of pictures represents the friendship, love, and passion of Erik Weihenmayer's expedition up Mt. Everest. Even in his book Erik didn't focus on his accomplishment in clibing Mt. Everest whith the disability of being blind; he focused more on the support he had from all his friends.

A Spider, or a Wasp?

Spiders are horrible, scary creatures. Wasps aren't much better but if I had to choose one, it would definately be a wasp. Some interesting facts about wasps, the digger wasp to be specific, is that 1. they live independently, unlike other wasps that live in colonies. 2. Some of these wasps are one inch long and completely black with iridescent blue wings. And 3. As implied by their names, these wasps live in the ground.

IS LIFE OKAY??

Think of a person. One person. Someone you idolize and apprieciate everything they've done. Image what effects they have had on the world and how they've changed and influenced it. Now, what if that person was gone. Think if that person's mom had gotten an abortion. They NEVER existed. Remember all those things they did that have helped us or entertained us; how they were brave when no one was. Now think off all the people we lose to abortion. What if one of those babies had the cure for cancer? What if they had an invention that could change your life? Now, I want to know who you were thinking of. What have they done with their life for the sake of others? Is abortion okay?? Let me know!

Digital Footprint..

I wouldn't say that my digital footprint is bad, but it's definately not good. I haven't put any bad pictures or said anything that I really regret that I can think of but I'm sure there's those couple of things that I wish I could make disapear. Like almost any teenager I do have a facebook and a myspace. I can't think of anything in particular that I'd beat myself up for ever posting but there's always those immature things I might have said a while ago. If anything, I'm probably the most worried about my e-mail. I don't remember ever sending anything bad or personal really, just some things if someone ever found I might be imbarrased about.

Where to spend a holiday..

Now I know my favorite holiday is Christmas but there is no way I would go vacationing around Christmas. Christmas is a time to be home and spent with your family, and besides, if I'm going vacationing I am not going some where it's cold. That's another reason why I wouldn't go vacationing around Christmas, because it just wouldn't be the same without snow! Hmm, so I guess my next favorite holiday would have to be the 4th of July. Where would I go? I have some cousins that live in Colorado and they tell us how amazing the firework show is down there with the mountains and such. So I would have to say I would like to go to Colorado Springs for the 4th of July.

My FAVORITE Holiday!!

CHRISTMAS! My favorite holiday is Christmas, and not because of all the presents, but of course that is a plus =). I LOVE Christmas because I'm spending it with all of my family. I just love the traditions and parties and food! We have a handfull of traditions and just perks about Christmas and even winter itself, some little and some huge, and my favorite ones are going Christmas tree hunting with all my aunts and uncles and my grandma and grandpa, my family decorating the tree together, the overplayed Christmas music, ice fishing, snowman making, snowball fights and making forts, and of course the cheesy movies we sit down as a family together and watch like The Grinch. All of it is so exciting and probably the best part of Christmas is that there is no way you can be sad or depressed. Every one is always in a cheerful mood and so happy and just plain having fun!

It's a FANTASY! Use your Imagination =)

If you could have ONE day..Devoted entirely to whatever you desire..What would it be? Your own holiday. Me? Well I would have a day of me of course. Everyone celebrates me! Selfish? Yeah, maybe. Now I know what your thinking, don't you pretty much have that every year on your birthday? I guess, but this day is not going to be with just my family and friends. It's going to be national! There's going to be no school and no work what-so-ever on "My Day" because, c'mon, no time for that stuff when were celebrating me! There will be cheeseburgers for breakfast and candy for lunch. Presents for everyone, especially me! Movies and popcorn at the movies half price, but of course I'll get in free. That's what I would do if I could make my own holiday. What would you do?

MY Main Concern..

**As a part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of climate change.

Global Warming. Or should I say Global Climate Change. What is is? That would be my main concern. There's a catch though. Of course, I'm different then most, and you won't see me freaking and spazing out about our climate. Personally, I think it's a loud of CRAP! I'm sick of the news media and school saying how we need to change. Yes, we can stop polluting, yes, we can use more energy efficient technology, but we are taking such extream, rediculous precautions for something that is just cycling through our climate!!

According to (What's in a Name? Blobal Warming vs. Climate Change) To scientists Global Warming describes the greenhouse effect. Many scientist thought that humans could alter the climate. Yes, but what they didn't know is how. Either airborne particles (aerosols) would cause the climate to get cooler, or the greenhouse effect would cause warming. It all depended on what is more dominate. Now the consequences of the widescale changes right now being observed in Earth's climate system could be considerable. So why do we change the name Global Warming to Global Climate Change? The answer would be because Global Warming is not technically right. So what is Global Climate Change? To me the very vauge name given to explain currently what is happening to our climate is just pathetic. Global Climate change? Doesn't that pretty much describe any change in our climate what so ever? So technically any kind of change, whether its warmer or cooler, in our climate is "Global Climate Change."

The green house effect..Is our climate actually CURRENTLY getting warmer because of it? According to (Greenhouse Earth) Yes, but remember that the greenhouse effect is actually good too. Without it we would completely freeze and die.

Polar Bears..Are they dying and going extinct? NOO!!! Polar bears have produced RECORD LEVELS of their population. Populations are BOOMING! 5 TIMES as many polar bears today compared to 50 years ago! So why do we hear that they are dying? Are they on the endangered list?? Yes. Yes polar bears on the endangered list. The endangered list is a joke. Polar bears AREN'T on the endangered list BECAUSE they're endangered. They're on the list because 2 OUT OF 13 locations of main polar bear populations have in fact decreased. ONLY 2 OUT OF 13!!!! ALL the other locations have INCREASED, not only by a couple of bears, but by about 15 - 20,000 in each location! So tell me, HOW can polar bears be endangered, close to extinction, if they are BOOMING??
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/06/another-blow-to-junk-science-polar-bear.html

Global Warming. Global Climate Change. Whatever you want to call it, none of which is fact. They're theories, correlations. I am not denying the fact that our earth currently is warming. It's the climate! We aren't going to have the same tempature every year. Things are going to change. Be different. Now all the hype about this is getting annoying! So tell me. Are these the same scientists that said we would have a third ice age?? Are these the same scientists that said if we went outisde while it was raining our skin would melt from the acid rain?? Are these the same scientists that said the o-zone layer would be completly gone within so many years. Scientists have been wrong before. And they are wrong again!

My SUMMER

Here are five pictures to explain my summer.
Donut - I work about 20 hours a week in a bakery
Pool - I'm on the swim team and have practice everyday
Paint Brushes - I love to paint and draw on my spare time
Farm - When ever I can go to my grandpa's I go and like to ride four wheeler
Computer Mouse - I spend a lot of time on the computer and talking to friends
*All pictures were from Morgue File

Hmm, Cows!

Cows. Not my favorite animal but when I see them I think back to when I was younger. I practically grew up on my grandpa's farm and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've had so many memories and experiences with my cousins and siblings that when my grandma and grandpa retired from farming and milking their cows some of those experiences died. It's not the same and never will be. At least they didn't sell all of their livestock and land so there still is cows to feed and land to ride four wheeler on. Definately is better then nothing!

CAMPING!!

http://www.greenlakecampground.com/mambo/ - Green Lake. The BEST campground ever! My family camps there for a week every June.
http://www.90percentattitude.com/scr/camping.jpg - Picture of a Camfire because that's where all the fun stuff happens.

Every year my family and I go camping. We usually take three trips in the summer. Of course though, my family's definition of camping is a little bit different then another's. When we go we're talking about six campsites, it's a huge family event of course, with campers, RVs, microwaves, fridges, air conditioners, and TVs. Yeah, that's right, we really ruff it! Things my family does together? EAT! Always. We start in the morning and don't really stop. We usually play volley ball, swim, go horse back riding, flee markets, and we always have a traditional chimney log!! We always have great stories to tell when the trip is over and have fun and every year. I never can wait for the next trip to take.

Other Bloggers

For English class I had to go to five other bloggers and comment about some of the things they wrote. The most interesting thing about this assignment was that the blogs I went on couldn't be from people from the US. I found reading others blogs that some people have different ways to things compared to how I do. To me some of these things sounded funny but then if you think about it, half of what I say people are probably laughing at too with my choice of words.

T*G*I*F

Today is homecoming and I'm really pumped. Everybody in our school looks rediculous, being dressed all in school colors and outragous miss match with tights and knee high socks, including me. TGIF! Can't believe it's Friday already!! Tomorrow is the dance and I can't wait. Then the weekend to enjoy with my friends, and my friend Holly's birthday!

HOMECOMING =))

Im so excited for Homecoming on Friday and especially for the dance on Saturday. I love dancing and going to them with all my friends and am soo thrilled to spend the whole day with them. I have a really cute silver dress that fades in to black and is full of sparkles. It looks really cute on and can't wait to show it off! Dancing. I like to dance. Am I good at it? Who knows. lol I guess I could really care less on how much I may be embarrasing myself in front of the whole school because I'm having so much fun. Life's a dance you learn as you go. Sometimes you lead but sometimes you follow. Don't worry about what you don't know because life's just a dance you learn as you go!!!!

this year's English..

English class..It's okay. Definately not one of my favorite classes but it's tolerable. I'd so much rather be in an art class or even algebra 2. I like math. English, not so much. It's easy though. I don't have any problems with it and this year we are doing some things that interst me more like blogging and pen pals. Definately better than other years where you read out of books and write papers constantly. Never any homework. Thats a huge plus. I have NO time for homework with the Swim Team and work and am suprised I can even manage the little bit I do get from other classes. Just gives me a little more time to talk to my friends. I can always use more time with my friends =))

I'm AWAKE!

I'm awake, I'm alive
Now I know what I believe inside
Now it's my time
I'll do what I want 'cause this is my life
here, right now
I'll stand my ground and never back down
I know what I believe inside
I'm awake and I'm alive! =))

This is the chorus to Skillet's new song Awake, from their newest album. I really like the lyrics to this song and all of Skillet's songs because there is meaning and truth behind each well thought out piece. This song especially is meaningful to me because it represents how we are as people and how this is our life run by ourselves. No one else can have a say in what you do and how you do it. It's all up to you. You make your life. It's all whether you choose to make it worth living and desireable or go in other's paths.
